New assemblage!

"Camera Dial"  Assemblage just completed (12" x 5").  I used part of a vintage camera, a flash bulb, vintage flute, radio knob, doorplate, vintage photo. One of those assemblages where the parts just "flew into my hands".

Treasure Hunting at the Antique Fair on Sunday

Industrial chic lamp for my workbench.

My "new" urban industrial workbench - reclaimed wood on the bottom shelf, metal baskets, huge wheels - love it!

The look on this guy's face made me laugh

Treasures to use in my steampunk jewelry and assemblages

Recently created!

In June I participated in several Michael deMeng workshops at Collage on Alberta in Portland. This bottle started life as an old pink perfume bottle. Now it's mysterious (all-seeing) and, well...sort of funky; in a good way.

This "Lizard Journal" measures 9" x 11". A "mired in the tar pits" journal. I'm loving the texture of it!

Clock gear assemblage by Jennifer

A day in my art studio! This 5"x7" assemblage was created using a vintage camera part, old clock gears and parts, a reliquary and part of a typewriter ribbon tin.

Back in early April I went on an art retreat in Lincoln City, OR with 4 other artists. Of course the retreat included antiquing...I scored finding a whole box of vintage clock parts and gears.

Weekend Art Retreat

Recipe for a fabulous weekend retreat! Take four art friends (Martha, Carol, Carrie, Jennifer) add art-making, creating delicious meals, include wine and chocolate, lots of laughter and a walk in the forest, oh - and a chick flick too.

Four of us had a fantastic time at Martha's cabin in the forest near Mt. Hood (built in the 1940s) over the weekend! I know we all came home rejuvenated, but a little melancholy to have the weekend over. Can't wait til next time!
